Hello! The year has changed, and so has the board! This year’s board has gotten off to a fast start, and it’s time to introduce this year’s members. The introductions will take place in two parts. Today, you’ll get to know the first six members, and tomorrow, the remaining six members.
Roosa
Chair
Hi! I’m Roosa Nousiainen, the Chair of the Board, and I’m in my third year at Oulu Business School. We have started off strong with the board, and I can’t wait to see what rhe year has in store for us. Together with the board, we’ve already started brainstorming and planning events and the upcoming year, and I’m really grateful to be working with such an amazing team!
My calendar has been filled with meetings and discussions with various collaboration partners, as well as general coordination of our activities. I’m also looking forward to the Kylteri Chairpersons’ network, where I took on the role of chairperson. It’s going to be an amazing and exciting year!

Noora
Vice Chair
Hello, Finanssi members!
I’m Noora, a third-year student, and this year I’m taking on the completely new role of Vice Chairperson in the board. This spring, I’m focusing on wrapping up my bachelor’s thesis, and in the autumn, I’ll start my master’s studies with accounting as my major.
As Vice Chair, my main responsibility is taking care of our wonderful active members. In addition, I make sure everyone feels comfortable at the guild room, handle team recruitment for interdisciplinary competitions, and will soon put together the member survey to be published early in the year (make sure to answer it when it’s out!). On top of all that, I coordinate the party team, act as the Chairperson’s “right hand,” and organize a few events targeted specifically at our active members. The year has started off well with the new board team, and it’s been a refreshing change from last year’s intensive event organizing to focus more on office-side tasks this year. I’m really looking forward to the upcoming year and the opportunities this new position brings! See you at the guild room and at events! 🙂
What I am looking forward to this year? Top 3:

Treasurer
Hey there!
I’m Lassi Saarinen, one of the freshmen on the board and the treasurer for 2025. However, you’re more likely to spot me in second-year lectures (if even there). The easiest place to find me is at the guild room or at events, so don’t hesitate to come up and say hi. The year has kicked off at full speed, and I’m excited to see what my first student Wappu has in store!
As the treasurer, I take care of our organization’s finances. I handle purchase and sales invoicing as well as bookkeeping together with our accountant. Naturally, I also maintain strict financial discipline and prepare the budget at the end of the year. Not having a committee doesn’t bother me at all, as this position allows me to work closely with the entire board.

Aada
Head of Communications
Hello Finanssi members! <3
I’m Aada Ylävaara, a 22-year-old third-year student and this year’s Head of Communications. This fall, I’ll begin my master’s studies with a major in Responsible Marketing, and right now, I’m in the process of writing my bachelor’s thesis. I started my studies in the fall of 2022, and my interest in actively participating in Finanssi’s activities sparked right away. During my first year, I got involved through Finanssi’s party team, but by fall 2023, I was already a tutor for new IBM students. In 2024, I was part of the Social Affairs Committee, where I, among other tasks, took care of communications. That experience sealed the deal for me to apply for a board position.
As the Head of Communications, together with my committee, we are responsible for planning and implementing Finanssi’s internal and external communications. In practice, this means tasks like creating the weekly newsletter, posting on all of Finanssi’s social media channels, and maintaining the website. I also have ideas for how we will develop our communications this year.
I’ve already learned so much, and this board year will undoubtedly bring fantastic experience in both communications and general board work. I’m happy to hear your ideas too, so feel free to chat with me at events! Wishing you a wonderful spring! <3
What am I looking forward to this year? Top 3:
- All the amazing student events with friends
- New experiences and board responsibilities
- Graduating with my bachelor’s degree (fingers crossed!)

Reeta
Head of Social Affairs
Hi guyys! I’m Reeta Pasma, a first-year student majoring in International Business Management and the head of social affairs for Finanssi in 2025. In my free time, besides being involved in organization activities, I’m all about music: if there’s a karaoke booth at an event, you’ll definitely find me there.
As the head of social affairs, or sopo as it’s known in Finanssi, my role is to provide low-threshold alternatives to balance out academic studies and to act as the members’ voice within the board. I’m responsible for sports, wellness, and cultural events, Finanssi’s clubs, freshmen activities, and guild merchandise such as overalls. Let’s grab a coffee at the guild room, and feel free to share your wildest event ideas while we’re at it!
